Function

The Licensed Electrician will work closely with the project manager and is responsible for executing professional, quality installations per current electrical codes. This person must be able to work quickly and efficiently while following proper safety procedures.  The ideal candidate is able to read blueprints and technical designs; install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting and AV systems; termination, rack wiring and equipment mounting. This person reports to the Operations Manager and onsite Project Manager.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply CSI installation standards
  • Understand the overall expectations and timeline of the project
  • Read and interpret CSI and Architectural engineering drawings
  • Ability to work on several projects at once
  • Pull wire for projects; terminate wire to plates, panels and racks
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
  • Mounting of AV and Lighting equipment
  • Determine crew needs and schedule for upcoming projects
  • Complete Redlines and build close out docs
  • Maintain clean and safe working areas; report any safety hazards to onsite Foreman or Project Manager
  • Company tool and equipment maintenance, including controlling and safekeeping of all tools, in the shop and on the job site
  • Attend Foreman/Construction meetings as required; conduct safety meeting on-site as necessary
  • Write, maintain and log RFI’s to and from the General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, clients and consultants as needed
  • Coordinate and continuously update expectations and schedule back to the office
  • Make educated executive decisions regarding minor issues on the job site
  • Prepare reports of all projects and submit for review to the Operations Manager
  • Maintain a Job Binder with a daily log of all tasks completed, issues and actions required by others
  • Fill out and submit End of Day (EOD) reports to the CSI team
  • Inspect all installation work periodically to assure company practices are being followed

 

Skill/Experience Requirements

  • Arizona Electrical License Required
  • Valid Arizona Drivers License
  • OSHA 30 certified, PMP certified preferred

 

Physical Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Work at heights on ladders, lifts and stage grids
  • Physical ability to walk, crawl and work in difficult positions and areas
